Growing up a Region Rat, Priscilla Sab writes and performs lyric-driven indie pop, decorated with heartfelt vocals and harmonies, all throughout the Midwest.
Sab has been obsessively writing in lyric books and diaries since 2012, using her ukulele to give performances to any family member who had the misfortune of being found sitting in one spot for too long. It wasn’t until 2019, however, after she won the Acorn Theatre Singer-Songwriter Competition at only 18 years old, that she allowed herself to fully let the music consume her. That summer, she recorded her first EP and, four years later(after studying Commercial Music at Millikin University(during this time she also won the John Lennon Songwriting “Stuck At Home” Competition)), she has finished her first full length studio album (set to release May 1st, 2026).
From sharing the stage with artists such as Callaghan, Grace Pettis, and Iris and the Shade, to rocking out with a three piece band at house shows, Sab loves bringing the intimate experience of listening to music to life.
And although her sound is most at home with artists such as Lizzy McAlpine, Phoebe Bridgers, and Gracie Abrams, lovers of all genres can appreciate Sab’s musicality. Martin Atkins (Public Image Ltd, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Pigface, and Killing Joke) describes Sab’s music as “Biting insightful lyrics delivered by a deceptively sweet voice,” while Jim Peterik (Survivor, Ides of March) calls Sab “an old soul,’ with ‘clever rhymes’ and “impressive presentation with confidence and true belief in (Sab) yourself.” Sab truly has something for everyone who is ready to experience and be moved.
